- Newbies: Newcomers. These could be people who are new to the lifestyle or online it could mean they are new to a site or board or chat room. More than likely you have a bit of newbie in you if you are reading the dictionary... unless you just came here to giggle at the quirky slant we put on these.
- Off Premise: An event or location at which sexual activity is prohibited. If members wish to get together sexually they either go to a hotel, home, or else where for pleasure.
- On Premise: These are events usually held at house parties or private clubs. Sexual activities are allowed in designated areas or bedrooms. There are also safe rooms where sexual activities are not allowed to take place.
- Open Swinging: Sexual interaction among couples who swap using the same room, or bed.
- Orgy: A party which involves unrestrained indulgence, especially in sexual activity. This term is usually used to mean group sex of either large numbers or liberal orientation.
- Orgy Room: A room, either in a home or a club, set aside for the purpose of group sex, usually with wall to wall mattresses. Sometimes referred to as a group room.
- OWO: Slang for "Oral Without Condom".
- Parties (noun): Events, usually held in the home of a swinger, where couples, single women, and the occasional single man come for swinging activities. Parties differ from orgies in that private rooms can be used, but all swingers are under one roof.
